Its main characteristic is that under the action of large impact or contact stress, the surface layer will rapidly produce work hardening, and its work hardening index is 5-7 times higher than that of other materials, and its wear resistance is greatly improved. But if the towel impact force is not enough or the contact stress is small, it can not make the surface quickly produce work hardening, and the wear resistance of high manganese steel can not play. High chromium cast iron is a kind of wear-resisting material with excellent wear resistance, but it has low toughness and brittle fracture easily. In order to make the high chromium cast iron hammerhead operate safely, people develop composite hammerhead, that is, high chromium cast iron is inlaid on the head of high manganese steel or low alloy steel hammerhead, or the working part of the hammerhead is made of high chromium cast iron, and the handle part is made of carbon steel. However, its manufacturing process is complex and strict. Low carbon alloy steel mainly contains chromium, molybdenum and other elements of the alloy structure steel, high hardness, good toughness, the matrix structure of martensite, bainite or bainite + martensite complex structure. The hardness of hammer head is about HRC 45, and the impact toughness is D. 15 J/or higher resistance.
